That wonderful existential, age old question… ha… Not really we are just a Midwestern couple who have been saved by the grace of God. We have been married for almost 10 years, this upcoming weekend. We have been overwhelmingly blessed by having 5 kids in almost 11 years and are being sanctified through the process. Let us introduce ourselves…
Steve-
Steve is the head of our household, he works hard at every facet of what he does. He has a background in Carpentry, Heating and Air and pretty much is Mr. Fix It… from boo boo’s to roofs, he’s got us covered. Steve and I (Desirae) more recently have decided to start up a little wood working side business, and he’s basically the foreman, engineer and bring back down to earth-er. His very humble motto of “We can do anything” gets quite a tamping from my ideas and well the Lord’s sanctification process. He really can do a lot though. ( shhhh…I’m consistently impressed #subtlehumblebrag)
Desirae-
(3rd person narrative and go…) Desirae is a homemaker, creative, floating out of the world-er with thoughts and sometimes feelings, oversharer and non perfect mom to kids. She has a background in some college, mostly life experience and motherhood. She dabbles in trying to constantly be a student..(if you’re looking for how-to’s… sorry to say, so am I!!!)
Who are we really…
A couple of God’s children who once sought out our own plans, paths, and were under the bondage of our inabilities, but God in his lovingkindness blessed us with a baby and led us to himself through the process…
Who are we now…still broken but whole because of the mercy and grace of our God, though the redemption of Jesus. We will share our individual testimonies in another post but suffice to say,”… by grace through faith” that is truth we cling to.
We hope you will join us on the paths’ we’ve walked down and all the trails and path’s to come. Come sit at our virtual table ( we’ll get around to making one of those some day, and maybe it will be a physical one for one of you!) And let’s gather, share, mourn, rejoice and praise the Lord through it all. Welcome to Made to be Maker’s.
